Education

She graduated from the Medical Faculty of the University of Zagreb in 1974. She completed her postgraduate studies in Mother and Child Protection in 1981. She passed the specialist exam in pediatrics at the Clinic for Children's Diseases in Zagreb in 1982. In 1991 she received her master's degree from the Clinic for Children's Diseases in Zagreb. in the territory of one Community of Municipalities ”.

Work experience

From 1 October 1974 to 14 November 1987 she worked at the Bjelovar General Hospital, and from 15 November 1987 at the Čakovec County Hospital, where she was the head of pediatrics from 26 October 1991 to 18 September 2014. Since 2007 she has been a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Teacher Education, University of Zagreb, Department in Čakovec, in the course Health care and care of preschool children. She has been a lecturer at the Secondary Medical School in Maruševac since 1990.

Additional education

In 1996, she completed her training in diagnostic ultrasound at the Department of Interventional Gastroenterology, University Hospital Center Zagreb. She attended ESPGHAN School of Pediatric Gastroenterology on two occasions. Since 1987, she has performed endoscopies of the upper digestive tract as well as biopsies of the small intestinal mucosa and rectoscopy.

Participation in professional and scientific conferences

She is an active participant in pediatric congresses and symposia: Split Pediatric School, Symposium on Preventive and Social Pediatrics and Postgraduate Courses of the Pediatric Gastroenterological Society, her lectures are published in the accompanying manuals. She is one of the founders of the first breastfeeding support groups in Croatia. In 1999, in collaboration with prof. dr. sc. Sanja Kolaček from the Clinic for Children's Diseases in Zagreb conducted an epidemiological study on celiac disease in Međimurje County. She worked on the project "Growth and Development of Children" at the Ministry of Health and the Commission for Pediatrics of the Croatian Pediatric Society, the Commission for Protection and Promotion of Breastfeeding at the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Health project to implement the Child Health Book for the Republic of Croatia.

Published papers

She is the author and co-author of several professional and scientific papers. She is the author of six handbooks for parents on the topic of nutrition. She is the co-author of the handbook Standards of Preschool Nutrition and Healthy Communities.
