I graduated in 2003 at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Rijeka. I passed the pediatric specialist exam in 2010. I passed the neonatology subspecialist exam in 2014.
That same year, I was elected Head of the Neonatology Division in the Department of Pediatrics, General Hospital Pula. I performed this duty until the end of 2018. In addition to working in the Neonatology Division, I also worked in the Pediatric Department. I also performed brain ultrasound (neurosonography) and was involved in follow up of the neurodevelopment of infants and children.
In mid-2019, I stopped working at the Pula General Hospital to devote myself to a PhD. I defended my PhD thesis in early December 2019. The topic of the doctoral thesis was "The relationship between histologic chorioamnionitis and decidual macrophage polarization and their influence on outcomes of neonates born before the 32nd gestational week.I currently work as a lecturer at the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, the Alma Mater Europaea University in Slovenia and as a lecturer in Italian high school in Rovinj.
I have published 20 scientific and professional papers and I did 30 lectures in the international and Croatian scientific meetings.

I worked at General Practice Office. In 2006, I started to work at the Pula General Hospital as a Pediatric resident. I passed the pediatric specialist exam in 2010. Two years later I began my training in neonatology (subspecialty) and I passed the neonatology subspecialist exam in 2014.
That same year, I was elected Head of the Neonatology Division in the Department of Pediatrics, Pula General Hospital. I performed this duty until the end of 2018. In addition to working in the Neonatology Division, I also worked in the Pediatric Department.

I currently work as a lecturer at the Medical Faculty of Juraj Dobrila University of Pula. I am involved in teaching Anatomy, Physiology and Pediatrics. Also, I teach Preschool Child Health Care at the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the same University. Also, I work as a lecturer at the Alma Mater Europaea University in Slovenia where I teach Physiotherapists in Italian language (Courses: Pediatrics, Neurology/Neurosurgery, Psychiatry and Rehabilitation Medicine). In 2020, I began to work as a teacher in Italian high school in Rovinj where I teach Anatomy, Physiology, Pathophisiology, Clinical Medicine and Social Medicine in Italian language.
