I am a paediatric pulmonology subspecialist at the Department of Pulmonology with Allergology and Cardiology with Rheumatology at the Children’s Hospital of the Split University Hospital Centre. In my daily work, I participate in the implementation and interpretation of allergy skin tests and pulmonary function tests (spirometry, bronchodilator test, bronchoprovocation test) for children suffering from asthma, allergic rhinitis, urticaria, pneumonia, bronchopulmonary dysplasia and other pulmonary and allergy-related diseases within the Pulmonary and Allergology Outpatient Clinic. I actively participate in “Škola atopije” (Atopy School), which has been held since 2016, with the aim of educating children and parents on atopic dermatitis. I have used lung ultrasound every day in my clinical work since 2014 and I advocate the introduction of this safe method for diagnosing lung diseases, particularly pneumonia. My areas of interest also include the long-term health care of children with acute respiratory failure, particularly non-invasive positive-pressure ventilation delivered via a mask and the application of a mechanical insufflator-exsufflator (CoughAssist®). I am the co-owner of the Pediatri Polyclinic where I work with paediatricians to implement the common idea of comprehensive health care of children with quick diagnostics in one place.
